Yellowstone

“When I see the harsh conditions these animals are living in, this only commands respect and admiration.”

Large flakes of snow are falling, it’s wintertime in Yellowstone National Park. Bisons, otters, elks and wolves are struggling to survive.

The photographer Michel d’Oultremont is wandering in the remote and icy valleys of this mythical place. The temperatures are close to – 40°C. Everything is instantly morphing into ice. Breathing is painful, the body is becoming as hard as stone, but we have to keep going. To keep moving towards those wild encounters waiting at the end of the white path.

Michel has been photographing the fauna living in this white and hostile environment for a month. He is presenting us a hundred of his most beautiful pictures.
